Sareeta Amrute is an anthropologist who studies the relationship between digital technologies and emerging social and economic worlds. Her first book is Encoding Race, Encoding Class: Indian IT Workers in Berlin, which won the Diana Forsythe Prize in Anthropology and the International Convention of Asian Studies Book Prize. She is currently at work on a book on anticaste thought and cybersecurity practices called For Unsafe Times. Sareeta is Associate Professor of Design & Anthropology at The New School in New York City.
