Chris J. Thomas is a Senior Lecturer in Business Communication at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University; he also teaches Contemporary American Fiction at the Hutton Honors College. His book Pacific Possessions (2021) analyzes the manufacturing of “authenticity” in 19th century South Pacific travel narratives.
